Class Experience

This class will meet once to create an acrylic American animal painting.

Instructor will use a step-by-step approach to demonstrate acrylic painting techniques used to create beautiful and colorful animal paintings. Various application techniques, including blending, layering, smudging, brush techniques, and more will be discussed.

Students will learn fundamental painting concepts including foreground and backgrounds, values, perspectives and various brush stroke effects.

Canvas/ thick paper
Acrylic paint (various colors)
Palette
Water containers
A few brushes in various sizes, round brush in size #10 or #12 will be the most useful
Pencil, eraser, ruler
Paper towels

1 hour 25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
