Class Experience
Would you rather paint a picture or paint a fall-themed landscape acrylic painting? In this class, you can do both. You will learn a little about painting a landscape while we socialize. Each learner should choose their own paint colors. While there will be a demonstration, creativity is encouraged. Get your reactions and questions ready in case a game of Would You Rather breaks out. The learners will learn various drawing and painting techniques while creating a Fall painting.
I have taught elementary-aged students for 30 years in a public school. During this time, I have taught all academic areas as well as Art and STEAM. Warning: Acrylic paint does not come out of clothes, so the students will probably want to wear something that it is okay for them to get paint on.
No homework will be assigned.
Canvas Pencil Eraser Acrylic Paints- colors of the student's choice preferably Cup of water Paper towel Palette Paintbrushes Easel or something to cover the work surface Creativity Smile
Progress will be assessed through informal assessments. The students will be encouraged to share their art during each class period. They will also be encouraged to add their own creative touches to their works of art.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
The learners will determine some of the topics of conversation. We may play Would You Rather while we paint. Warning: Acrylic paint does not come out of clothes, so the students will probably want to wear something that it is okay for them to get paint on.
No outside sources will be utilized.
