Class Experience

In this one-time class students will draw a version of Georgia O'Keefe's 'Autumn Leaves, Lake George'. (1924) One of my favorite artists, she was an American painter known for painting oversized flowers, skulls and mountains. She painted in a Modernist style...mixing both abstract and concrete elements.

I will start of by talking about the artist and showing examples of her work.
With my guidance students will draw in the basic outlines for 3 leaves

This class is taught in English.

8” x 10” or slightly larger Watercolor paper and Acrylic or Tempera paint 
*** OR ****
8” x 10” or slightly larger Canvas and Acrylic paint 
Paint colors: Red, Blue, Yellow plus Black and White. Please, NO Watercolor paint
Pencil
Ruler 
Water container
Eraser 
Brushes, a couple sizes would be good (regular one plus a tiny one for detailing the veins on the leaves)
Paper towel
