Would you rather paint an acrylic landscape painting or have fun? In this class, you can do both. The learners will be taught how to create several different landscapes during this multi-day class. Topics will include what makes a landscape, using lines to create shape and texture, blending paints, and mixing paints to create other colors. 5 lessons//5 Weeks
Week 1Lesson 1Cherry BlossomWe will learn about landscapes and some tips to using acrylic paints. During this lesson, we will create a Cherry Blossom painting.Week 2Lesson 2Caring TreeWe will learn about blending paint on the canvas to create a background for our Caring Tree painting.Week 3Lesson 3Sunflower FieldWe will learn about creating a foreground while creating a Sunflower Field painting.Week 4Lesson 4SwingWe will learn about colors and how to make some parts of our paintings stand out while creating a Swing painting.Week 5Lesson 5BridgeWe will be creating a painting of a Bridge by creating a background, foreground, and visual contrast to make items on our painting stand out.
The learners will create a different landscape during each session of the class while learning about background, foreground, and blending colors. They will learn about using other different painting techniques along the way as well. They will also be encouraged to have fun and be creative.
I have been an educator for over 30 years. During this time, I have taught all academic areas as well as art and STEAM classes for grades K-5.
Canvas, paper, or cardstock Pencil Eraser Paints- colors of the student's choice preferably Cup of water Paper towel Pallett Paintbrushes Creativity Easel or some type of covering for the work surface to prevent paint from getting on the surface. I use a piece of silicone to protect my workspace. Smile Students may want to wear clothes that they won't get upset over messing up. Acrylic paint does not come out of clothing.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
