Painting is a very soothing and relaxing activity to engage in. Young children have lots of energy throughout the day, this weekly class with calm children down and help them to create magnificent painting using acrylic paint. Each week they will be exposed to a different painting technique. They will learn many different ways that acrylic paint can be used when accompanied but another material such as marbles, tissue paper, salt and many more. This class is highly interactive and can even get a little messy. I hope to see you in Ms. Mariam’s classroom!

Welcome to Ms. Mariam's classroom!
My name is Mariam and I teach classes on all things Grade 3. I have been teaching the Common Core Curriculum for Grade 1 & 3 for the last four years. I have two Bachelors Degrees. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from McGill University and a Bachelor of Education from Niagara University. I thoroughly enjoy my job and love to help students succeed. I strive on seeing the the 'ah ha' moment on a child's face when they achieve understanding of a concept.
I am very passionate about literature. I constantly create new book studies both for my class at my school and for my classes on Outschool. I love furthering student reading fluency, comprehension, and all reading skills through books that are both engaging for students and complex for the appropriate age. I believe that teaching reading skills through reading texts is more beneficial than learning through worksheets or drills.
In my classroom all students feel welcome and appreciated. I develop a deep connection with learners and that's why students keep coming back to my classes. I would love the opportunity to meet and teach your child.
