Floor Gymnastics will follow progressions skill card from Acrobatic Arts. Flexibility, strength, balancing, Limbering, and tumbling skills will be taught in a fun, positive, and safe manner.

Class experience

Acrobatic Arts Level 1 Strength Skills that will be tested the last class:
*Plank demonstration
*Wall sit hold for 10 seconds
*Superman hold for 10 seconds
* Table top hold 10 seconds
*V sit demonstration
*Handstand facing wall demonstration (pike)
*Hops right and left foot (3 in a row)
*Frog Jumps 5 in a row
I've been coaching gymnastics and dance for 14 years. I'm a current owner/operator of a gymnastics business located in Southern California. I'm certified through USA Gymnastics and Acrobatic Arts and I've learned from many different coaches and instructors throughout my years of coaching. I truly love to see the gymnast improve with unique progressions. Watching students achieve skills and be excited about accomplishing a body movement is amazing to watch!
Homework Offered
Coloring pages with gymnastics body shapes and a weekly skill to practice.
Assessments Offered
AcroArts Level 1 Skill Sheet will be tested on the strength section the 4th week.
Grades Offered
Supply List:
*Gymnastics mat or yoga mat
*yoga blocks 6 inch and then athlete will progress to 4 inch and 2 inch
*Wall space
*Dinning room chair
*4-8 pillows
*Couch 
*Fabric head band or small workout band
*Sock or scrunchie to put on dominant cartwheel leg
*6 inch stuffed animal
Risk of injury if students are not performing skills correctly. Parental guidance and assistance may be needed. Please make sure proper safety precautions are taken. For example, make sure student is not performing skills next to furniture and has proper matting required for class. Understand learner is doing physical fitness and has risk of injury if not properly supervised by parent.  
Please have open space clear of furniture, gymnastics or yoga mat, bottle of water, and read supply list above.  
This is a risky class because the student does not have a coach at home to work with them on proper form and technique and the potential for injury exists. Parent supervision(adult present during the class) and skills may need to be modified according to skill level, coordination, and strength of each student.
