6 in-class hoursClass Experience
Basic Guitar will be taught in this class. We will cover: 1. Parts of the guitar. ie. The head, the neck, the body, the soundhole. 2. String names. ie. E, A, D, G, B, and E. Elephants Are Delightful, Great Big Elephants. 3. How to use an online tuner to tune your guitar. 4. How to play simple beginner songs. 5. How to strum and strumming patterns. 6. How to hold your guitar properly on your lap and make sure that you have the correct posture sitting upright when playing. 7. Discussion on different styles of music that you can play with your guitar. This Class requires patience from the learner, since it is not easy for little hands, I do not recommend this for students below the age range that I have specified. We will meet online once per week, and start with the very basics for beginners. I teach in a style that is engaging and fun. Some song examples include; "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", "You are My Sunshine", "Don't Worry Be Happy", "Apples and Bananas", etc... Basic Strumming patterns will be taught while focusing on rhythm, we will learn the C, F, and G chord, possibly more depending on leaners. Most Importantly this will be a fun class that will inspire students to play beyond the class for fun.
Learning Goals
To learn Three chords and Three songs that we can play with those chords.
