Learners must have a good command of sentence writing and a general grasp of what a basic paragraph is. Parents/guardians are expected to read the course descriptions and use their best judgment when enrolling their child for best placement. Should parents/guardians have any questions, please message me via Outschool. I will be happy to help provide guidance for proper course placement.

I've taught English for over 25 years in various settings, plus I've been a home school mom for the past 16 years. I have seen many, many students lack a good grasp of paragraph writing, and it really shows when they get to high school (and higher levels) as they struggle with writing papers and essays. Middle school is an ideal age to use the language and writing skills that they know and form solid writing habits. It's a great, practical life skill to learn now in order to achieve writing success!
