Beginner - Intermediate Level
This course is designed for students whether homeschool, public school, or private school who want to have an academic advantage when it comes to taking the new digital SAT. In this 12-session course, students will learn general as well as specialized strategies for taking the SAT. Each session is 2 hours and 30 minutes long to allow for instruction as well as time for practice and review. Students will learn in a hands on, engaging and interactive online forum. CLASS STRUCTURE Each class will be broken down as follows: - Welcome/Introduction (2 minutes) - Homework Review (15 minutes) - Topic 1 (20 minutes) - Practice 1 (15 minutes) - Topic 2 (20 minutes) - Practice 2 (15 minutes) - Wrap Up (3 minutes) HOMEWORK Homework will consist of lessons and practices assigned from Khan Academy in a Goggle Classroom as assigned by the teacher. EVALUATION Progress will be assessed with a graded quizzes and tests as assigned.

Lesson 1:
Introduction to the Digital SAT and Practice Test
In this lesson students will get an overview of the digital SAT format and question types. Time management strategies and test-taking tips and Simulate the test environment with a full-length practice test.

Foundations: SAT Reading and Writing
In this lesson students will learn about the basic types of questions that they might see on the SAT.

Lesson 3:
Foundations: Algebra
In this lesson students will learn the foundational Algebra skills they'll need for the SAT Math test such as solving linear equations and inequalities, linear equation word problems, graphs of linear equations, and solving systems of linear equations.

Lesson 4:
Foundations: Problem solving and data analysis
In this lesson students will learn foundational problem solving and data analysis skills they'll need on the SAT Math test such as ratios, rates, and proportions, unit conversion, percentages, measures of center and spread, linear and exponential growth, probability and statistics.

Other Details
Parental Guidance
This course will also utilize Kahoot! for engagement and Nearpod. While we may use Kahoot! from time to time, no log-in information will be required.
Students will need to enter an email for Google Forms to get their results; however, this can be a parent email. No other communication will come to that email.
Students will be asked to utilize Khan Academy for class assignments. A log-in is required to keep track of progress.
Pre-Requisites
Completion of 8th grade would be helpful.
