Intermediate Level
This class is for students who are aiming to sit GCSE exams, iGCSE or French 2 accreditation in the next 12 months. We are concentrating on Reading and Writing tests set by UK GCSE exam boards and iGCSE exam boards this Cycle, as examinations start in May 2025. We will be looking, individually and collaboratively, at past GCSE Reading and writing papers this Cycle. Students will answer some of the questions in class and some in their own time, as assignments. I will look through the answers in class and give pointers to students about how to improve their grades. I will take time in each class for some fun activities, but this Cycle will be very focussed on the exam papers, as exam season in UK draws near!

Charities in France.
We will find out, from reading exercises, what charities are active in France. What do they do? What volunteer activities are available for your people with these charities? 55 mins online live lesson

Applying for a job in Frace.
How do you apply for jobs in France? We will look at various forms you have to fill in and various letter writing activities in past exam papers that ask you to apply for a summer job. 55 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Education in France.
You will read passages written by school students about their experience of education in France. Learners in the class will write about their experience of education at home/school/college. 55 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Sports, hobbies and other pass times.
Learners will read passages where French people describe the sports they like and discuss other hobbies. Learners will write about their favourite sports/hobbies and other pass times. 55 mins online live lesson

I have experience of teaching students with a variety of unique learning needs. Please inform me of needs on enrolment, so that I can supply worksheets with extra scaffolding and allow extra processing time if needed.
Pre-Requisites
To benefit fully from this class, learners will have a basic knowledge of French grammar and be able to read and write a little in French.
Supply List
Please print worksheets out for reference. A French-English dictionary, or access to a good Online Dictionary, will be helpful. Students should also have a means of making notes.

I have current experience of tutoring students for GCSE/iGCSE and CEE.
