Advanced Level
Students will learn about using effective dialogue. They will learn how to write good and authentic dialogue, using words beyond the overused 'said,' and how to punctuate dialogue. These skills are not simply helpful for creative writing, but are the beginning skills that a student will need later when putting quotes into papers. Class 1: Students learn what dialogue is, how to write authentic dialogue and expand their vocabulary in order to have better word choice. Class 2: Students will learn how to punctuate dialogue and then practice writing a short story with dialogue.

Students will be using a Google Doc for their writing, but should bring paper and a writing utensil in case of unforeseen technical issues.
