In this 4-week course, students learn various types of writing including speechwriting, narrative writing, analytical writing, and reflective writing. This is a semester-long two-part course that can be taken in any order or on its own.

Description

Class Experience

Students will improve their writing proficiency as they learn various types of academic writing and how to apply each skill to the required writing assignment or project. This will include speech writing, analytical writing, narrative writing, and reflective writing. Students will learn by examples of writing styles provided in each class session and put what they have learned into practice each time we meet. Students will improve their writing proficiency as they apply the skils they learn in writing each week.

Students should bring a pen/pencil and paper to class.

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
