This ongoing class will allow students to meet each week as they experiment with different methods of abstract watercolor painting! Students are encouraged to follow along with the weekly guided demonstration, but are welcome to make their own choices! Students will use techniques such as blending, wet in wet, wet in dry and will alter watercolors with resists, vinegar, rubbing alcohol and salt! Students will have the opportunity to share their paintings with their peers at the end of class or keep their paintings private.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to use a variety of techniques to make abstract watercolor paintings.

Supply List
Please come prepared with the following materials each class period. We will not use all materials each class period, but will want these around each time Incase you want to try them. -watercolor paper ( I cut mt paper into 4ths so it is easier to complete at least 1 painting during class) -water cup -paper towels -watercolor brushes in various sizes -Salt -crayons and/or oil pastels -rubbing alcohol (qtips might be helpful) -sharpie -Hair dryer or small fan for drying between layers

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
