In this 4 week course, students will learn about the ocean habitat and some of the animals that life there. They will learn about the characteristics of the habitat and why certain animals chose to make it home. Students will engage in an interactive google slides and Nearpod presentation to explore the habitat. They will also explore a virtual field trip of a ocean. 3+ years as an elementary teaching assistant and substitute teacher. I live a few hours from the ocean and have vacationed there my entire life. My family owns a beach house. I am very familiar with the ocean and its inhabitants.
No live meetings, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will be asked to follow links to watch YouTube videos. They may need an adult account to watch videos that may be blocked under the child accounts. Students will need to create an account to login to Kahoot! for the final assessment. Students will follow a shared link to a google slides presentation. Students will need to create a login and use the provided code for Nearpod.
