US Grade 3 - 5
In this one-time class we will learn about black holes. We will explore what black holes are, how they form, and what do we really know about them. Students will examine the different parts of black holes and discuss the roles they play in our universe. We will investigate questions such as: What is gravity? How do black holes form? What kinds of black holes are there? What strange effects do they have? How do we find black holes? How do black holes differ from neutron stars? The class is lecture and discussion based. Learners will view and participate in a presentation full of images and some videos. They will have the opportunity to ask questions and think critically about space!
