Do you love learning about the human body and how it works? Do you enjoy learning interesting and fun facts? If so, this is the class for you! In this class, I will use a slideshow to show illustrations and models of human anatomy. We will learn about several different organs/body parts in each class. For each part of anatomy we will learn: what it is, where it is in the body, what it does, and a fun fact about it! At the end of each class we will have an informal quiz to see what the students learned. My teaching style is informal and I like to help students have fun while they are learning! Day 1- Anatomy beginning with A-F (Arteries, Brain, Cartilage, Diaphragm, Esophagus, Femur/Fibula) Day 2- Anatomy beginning with G-L (Gallbladder, Heart, Intestines, Jugular, Kidney, Liver/Lungs) Day 3- Anatomy beginning with M-S (Muscles, Nerves, Occipital Bone, Pancreas, Quadriceps, Ribs, Stomach) Day 4- Anatomy beginning with T-Z (Tonsils, Umbilicus, Veins, White blood cells, Xiphoid process, Yellow marrow, Zygomatic bone/arch) Due to the many different parts of anatomy we will discuss in each class, this will be a fun introduction to anatomy and not an in depth study of any particular organ or system. No prior knowledge is needed and all that is required is a love of learning and fun!
Learning Goals
Students will learn many fun facts about the amazing human body!

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have been a Registered Nurse in the hospital setting for over 18 years and a pediatric nurse for 12 of those years. Explaining complex things in a way that children can understand is an important skill that pediatric nursing has taught me. I love learning and teaching about the human body and I am so excited to meet your students in class!
