Class Experience

Students will improve their understanding of the alphabet, counting to 10, and one-to-one correspondence. They will apply their knowledge at the end with a "Cookie Craft" that involves both letter writing and counting.
I am offering this class in particular due to my expertise in the early childhood area. This is my area of certification, and I student taught in kindergarten. I have vast experience in actively engaging young children in the learning process, and my personal experience with the alphabet and counting combined with my creativity in using props and music will make this a unique and fun class for your child to practice their skills!
No homework is assigned, but students can refer back to materials for review at any time.
The teacher will provide the link to the read-aloud, and will give other suggestions for resources as requested by parents for any part of the lesson that needs reinforced. Students will not need to purchase any materials, but should have paper and materials to color with.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Progress will be assessed with informal observation and anecdotal notes (if needed).
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
