Class Experience
This course is designed to help young children learn the basic strokes used for printing letters and numerals. Students will follow instructions on how to hold and manipulate a writing instrument. Students will become familiar with direction and position words such as top, middle, bottom, below, above, down, up, left, and right. Students will learn how to make the strokes need to print the letters of the alphabet. Student will be able to print the letters and understand terms such as "slide right; slide left; pull down; push up; curve left; curve right, etc.
I have been trained to teach the Zane-Blosser method of handwriting for young children.
Although not required, if parents will practice and reinforce what students learn each session, students will become more confident in their ability to print correctly.
1 file available upon enrollmentIf lined paper is not available to you, we can improvise by having your child draw the headline, midline, and baseline. You may want to make a ruler available to your child as a straight edge to draw the lines. At times, a white board will be utilized to practice letter writing. Students may also use crayons, markers and pencils. Please have your child use a soft-lead pencil so that their writing can be seen on-camera clearly.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Parents are always welcome to ask for an informal report on their child's progress.

I will be using Google Slides in this class to demonstrate how to form letters. We will also use Google slides as reinforcement. Parents do not need to have an account for Google Slides.
