Welcome to ABC Alphabet Camp....Let's Go! This is an intensive week long camp, for little learners to explore the letters of the alphabet. Throughout camp we will explore upper and lower case letters, their phonics sounds, simple rhymes and songs. We will also explore letters in the world around us. Each day we will explore several letters of the alphabet, highlighting a Letter of the Day, playing games, singing songs, creating letter of the day posters and making alphabet mini books. Moving through the alphabet we will focus on key letters, listening to phonics sounds and drawing upon the letter sounds the students already know (such as the first letter of their names) to personalize the experience and make it meaningful and relevant to the students in camp. Little Learners love repetition, and fun props, puppets and games. I aim to keep the class engaged and busy throughout, and to create an environment where every learner feels comfortable to sharing their ideas and participating. Throughout the lessons my focus will be to review the letters with students, and also to support students as they use their important social and communication skills throughout the game. Students will be encouraged and supported as they participate in class. If you feel that your child may be shy or anxious about participating in class please feel free to contact me in advance and let me know. While no prior experience is needed to participate in this class. If you are unsure if your student would be able to independently participate, you are encouraged to reach out to me and inquire about class suitability, and I will do everything I can to accommodate every learner.
Learning Goals
Students will practice and review the letters of the alphabet throughout Alphabet Camp. We will take part in activities and games that support all learners in the class as they learn their phonics sounds while also fostering important social skills and communication skills. During the class students use their social skills as they interact and cooperate with their classmates.
Throughout the lesson my focus will be to review the letters with students, and also to support students as they use those important social and communication skills throughout the classes.

Supply List
I will provide original materials with worksheets, and alphabet mini books and posters to be printed out at home in advance of class. Children should bring the printouts, scissors, glue and coloring pencils or crayons to class. If you feel that your little learner may need some support with cutting you can also cut some of the materials before class. I will give more suggestions for specific activities in the classroom.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
