What will be taught?
In this course students will learn the formulas of Little Friends of 5 of Abacus Mental Math and will be able to practice addition and subtraction of single, - double, -three- digit math problems on the abacus as well as learn mental math by using the abacus in their math.

How is this class structured?
Each week includes:
---Video lesson that equips the student with a skill for the following week. It is required to watch the video more than once- the more, the better.
---Video exercise which has to be done 3-4 times during the week. Say the numbers out loud just like the teacher in the video.
---Worksheet for practicing during the week. It is very important to complete all the math problems on the abacus if it says "ABACUS PRACTICE" and on the drawn abacus or mental map in the worksheet if it says "MENTAL MATH". Don't skip the assignments even if they take longer than you wanted.
The course is super beneficial and develops a lot of skills besides just number sence. Use every bit of it =)

This course is a required course for further self-paced courses of Abacus Mental Math that will be published in the near future as well.

I keep it as a priority in my teaching to help kids to enjoy learning and gain more confidence in themselves. It’s so important as they grow not to be afraid to learn new things but to thrive in it!
As kids learn Abacus math through various activities they not only gain a better number sense but also their memory, critical thinking, concentration develop so well that it improves their academic performance in other areas as well. Doing mental arithmetic involves both hemispheres of the brain at the same time! It's amazing to see the results even after 5 or 6 classes of Abacus Mental Arithmetic.
Along with that I love having fun in a smart way, so I also implement such fun thing in my classes as Magic Snake, which is a logic puzzle to make different patterns and shapes with. Kids love it and we even organize competitions, challenges and other group activities with our favorite toy!
