Beginner Level
This class is for ages 3 through five. It will be offered the same time each day. This class will feature some typical preschool setting concepts offered in the traditional brick n mortar preschool class. It will not build upon the next session but some sessions might be somewhat repetitive because students do learn by repetition. Each child will interact and be recognized in my class! We will write and recognize some printed words . I aim to keep this class to a small size class population of 4. *Some concepts taught each session Session 1: February 22. Write name. Numbers 4 and 5. Letter B. At home treasure hunt during the session. Session 2: February 29. Write name. Days of the week. Numbers 3 and 2. Letter D. Show n tell. Session 3: March 2. Introduce/Review four basic shapes. Draw shapes. At home treasure hunt. Signs of Spring. Letter C.; Write. Session 4: March 9. Cat spells cat. Introduce the at word family. Review numbers 4, 5, 3, 2. Session 5: March 16. Review the 'at ' word family. Write name. Copy numbers 1-10. Show n tell. Session 6: March 23. Video or Book; about Spring. Write letters ABCD. Introduce rhyming word concept. Ask for volunteers. Session: March 27, 2024: Introduce CVC Words. Read CVC words in a sentence. Session: April 3. Write first name. Create sets if three. Show n tell. Session April 10: A surprise Video. At home treasure hunt. Write numbers *Classes will be added every 3 weeks until the lady day of this class, June 6, 2024. Note: Supplies needed to be kept on hand. Pencil, paper, crayons, glue stick, child safe scissors, playdough. From time to time, materials to be printed will be placed in the classroom.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I am Ms. Mary. I live in the US. I come from a family of educators. I am very passionate about teaching and enriching children. To be honest, I have been teaching since about age seven.
My first classroom consisted of teaching my younger siblings. I taught them how to read using my own unique methods at the time. I have always been a reader. My passion for teaching started very early. My philosophy of education is that every child can learn, given the right environment. A learning environment must be conducive for learning. The visual atmosphere must be stimulating and encouraging. The teaching techniques must be diversified. All children learn differently. Lastly, but not least, the teacher should promote classroom interaction between the teacher and the students. My classrooms will encourage stimulation and interaction.
I come to the out school platform with much teaching experience and education. I have taught in head start and other preschool settings. I have served as a manager of a learning center. I have served as an administrator of a developmental child care center. I have worked with as a substitute teacher in the public schools. I have a BA degree in Social Science as well as a M.ED degree in Education. The BA degree entails sociology, history, political science, economics and psychology coursework. I have completed a certificate in ESL Fast Track Instructor Training. I have experience teaching Social Studies to ages 11 through eighteen. My experience consists of working with ages 11 through 18 in a typical school setting. I successfully completed an internship required of an aspiring Social Studies teacher of grades 7 through 12. I have experience creating age appropriate lesson plans and executing them by employing various teaching strategies. I like enriching youth about the environment around them.
Teaching reading and literacy is of special interest to me. As a preschool and kindergarten teacher, I have been very instrumental in teaching early reading and literacy skills.
When working with the young child, I sometime use music as a class opening. It may mean me singing or presenting a music video. When working with the older child, I respectfully encourage their view points and opinions in my classes. From time to time, my classes may include some type of movement activity, Please provide a safe, secure, and healthy environment for your child to enjoy the physical activity.
