A Visit to the Vet, Exploring How to Become a Veterinarian. Ages 8-10

Animals have a special place in our hearts. A veterinarian helps our pets stay healthy and helps when they are in need of help. This class will see a video taken at the office of a veterinarian and examine some of the things that they do. We will discuss the tools they use, the education required, and some of the activities they can do now to prepare for this career.  We will also have other sources of information as we discuss the job of being a veterinarian. Many students want to be a veterinarian, and this class will help them to decide if that is what they want to do for a career. The class will be discussion based. The students will be provided the sources of information as they continue to investigate this career. There will be google slides to help organize the information. This is an introduction for those that do not have a lot of knowledge about this subject. I have recently narrowed the age range to be able to meet the student's needs. I have 3 other age groups of the class.
