Homework Offered
Some students may want to actively participate in class and research the upcoming country in order to bring interesting, fun, and factual information to the class. 

Students will be required to write a 5-sentence paragraph about the country we just visited. The student will have 3 days after the class is completed to turn in the paragraph to the teacher. The teacher will review the paragraph and send feedback to each student. 

In addition, each student may want to make their own scrapbook for all the countries they have visited.

After enrollment, the student will receive the information on the new country we are visiting. There will be some information on this handout, but it is encouraged for each student to find additional information about each country.
1 - 2 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Assessments will be informal throughout the class, but after class, students will be required to write a 5 paragraph about the country we just visited. The teacher will review the essay and send feedback to each student. 
Grades Offered

* We do use Youtube videos for a virtual experience when visiting the countries. These Youtube videos are imbedded into the lesson. The students are not on Youtube themselves. 
* While the teacher uses Nearpod for the lessons, there may be times when the students will login to Nearpod for games, quizzes, and trivia about certain countires. 
* Sometimes Kahoot may be used as well requiring students to login themselves.
