The Ancient Greeks lived around 3,500 years ago; their legacy shapes the world we live in today. They build many temples and they founded democracy . Students will be introduced to the great culture of ancient Greece. They will learn about temples, gods and goddesses who protected the cities and citizens, more information about the ancient city of Athens and Sparta and heroes such as Alexander the Great. Learners will experience ancient Greeks' daily life and history through projects, videos and reading texts. We will watch videos about Greek art, Greek history, Greek architecture, games and daily life. At the end of each lesson learners will be assigned a task/project to prepare and present in class . Some of the topics will be: Make your own ancient Greek temple / Greek Daily life / Greek art - make your own vases /life of male children in ancient Greece You need to bring your imagination and creativity in class. Let the journey begin!

Supply List
All the lessons will be in power point format and students will need to purchase cartons of many colors and markers to make our projects real and lively.All the supplementary material will be attached in the classroom board.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

My name is Sophie Dalkalitsi and I am a teacher of English and Greek language and literature . I am a native Greek - American and I live in Greece . I have a BA degree in English Language and literature and an MA in TESOL. I have been teaching English to young children , teenagers and adults for 20 years .
Teaching international students online has always been a challenging and thrilling experience for me .What I cherish the most is to engage my learners in all my courses and the bring the outside world in my online classroom. I organize courses and prepare learners on English literature and poetry, Modern Greek , Greek History and mythology , English as a second language . I love watching films , listening to music and most of my interests are incorporated in my lessons.
