A Tour Around Our Solar System: Knowledge Burst & Drawing
In this one-time course, students 8-11 will learn about our solar system. We will go over each planet and some of the more notable moons. Discussing composition of the planets and if they are or are not habitable. Then, together we draw.

This class is a small to medium-sized setting intended for students 8-11 years old interested in learning more about our unique solar system. What would it be like to live up there? In this discussion class, we will discover each planet in our solar system, like new explorers. We will find out if the planet is habitable or not. This class is 50 minutes long, and in this class, we will discover the incredible solar system we live in. Together we will discuss the essential facts about each planet and its notable moons. Students will learn what it means to be a citizen of the universe. This class is very interactive, and students are encouraged to talk if they are comfortable discussing topics throughout the course. I offer a comfortable classroom setting. I will be using different media and technology to bring the materials to life. The class will include lecture time, slides, and ongoing interactive discussion throughout the lesson. The last 5-10 minutes of class we draw the solar system together. Learning Goals
This class is intended for students at least 8 years of age, as the concepts and idea of space can be complex and confusing for younger learners. Students will learn about the details of the planets in our solar system.

I have a master's degree in healthcare administration and a minor in sociology. I am an artist, conservationist, Reiki master and animal healer, and teacher. I love teaching students about animals while teaching them the importance of stewardship and environmental responsibility to the animals of our planet.
