Description
Class Experience
Each week we will cook a different recipe, students will learn a life skill that is cooking healthy natural food Cooking - The routine aspects of life (known as Little C Culture) to know what food people eat and how they prepare it. This is a fun class to allow students to learn about everyday life in the Middle East and connect with the people who live there through food. Geography - Finding the location on a map, learning what tradtional clothing is worn, learning what languages are spoken Please note: we will not be talking about faith, conflict or war in any way
Kara went from not really enjoying food to graduating from a masters program in holistic nutrition and modern counseling - having a private health coaching business and even working as a private chef in Los Angeles, CA and Aspen, CO in USA. She has always felt drawn to the Middle East even though she doesn’t have family or relatives from the region. Now, after living in multiple countries of the Middle East region for almost 8 years she brings her love of the Middle East food and culture to you. Sharing the Middle East from my eyes and perspective is a hobby and joy for Kara
Recipe will be provided along with alternative suggestions for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free and also substitution suggestions if you are unable to find an ingredient in your neighborhood
No live meetings, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
