History and cooking collide as we make recipes based on foods from 4 different time periods in US history. Each week, through video presentations and a written recipe I will provide, learners will be guided through creating a popular food from the past and will also learn a bit of the historical background surrounding what we create. *Parental supervision is required as...
Students will learn about cooking during 4 periods in US history, and will learn to make 4 dishes. They will practice following directions, measuring, and cooking according to a recipe.
I have a degree in secondary social studies education and 14 years of classroom experience both in public schools and in homeschool enrichment classes. I have been teaching on Outschool since August 2020.
A shopping list for all 4 weeks will be posted about 1 week before our first class. Each week's recipe will have a supply list that will posted one week before that lesson.

There is a risk of allergens. Adult supervision is required. Parents will be needed to help learners with he use of knives and to oversee the use of kitchen appliances, including the oven. Learners may need help with unfamiliar kitchen tools and using kitchen appliances, including the oven.
