Does your child enjoy doing science experiments? If so then this is the perfect class for your curious little learner! In this on-going science experiment class students will use common household items to create hands-on, fun, and engaging science experiments. Learners will complete experiments that are fun and engaging. Students will discover how you can use things around you to make fun and amazing things.
A weekly supply list will be sent out one week before the class. Most items will be common household items. Class 1: Magic Lemonade Slushy ( ice, salt, sugar, fresh lemon juice, water,) Class 2: Paper globe ( small balloon, flour, water, newspaper strips, paper plate and cup, safety pin or thumbtack) Class 3: Bath Slime: (cornstarch, water, bubble bath, food coloring,) Class 4: Marble painting 2 ways ( shaving cream, paint, nail polish, 2 canvas or heavy cardstock, toothpick, 2 deep pans ) Class 5: Edible paint on bread ( marshmallows, water, light corn syrup, food coloring, sugar cookie, or bread, clean paint brush )
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental Guidance is required for the use of kitchen materials. Parents will also need to help students prepare and gather materials for experiments. Parents will need to remain off-camera but help during class as needed.
