Students will be required to log in regularly to complete assignments within the assigned time frame. In addition, students will be expected to participate in a weekly "Vocabulary Jam" from the website. Students will compete in teams to see which team can answer the most questions correctly.
Additionally, students will be required to participate in the online quiz game Kahoot to challenge each other to see who can answer the most correct questions based on their reading.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Greetings! My name is Vikki Harris . For the past 14 years, I have been working as a substitute teacher for a New York school district. I have had the pleasure of working with different types of students (Special Needs, ESL/ELL, Support Services, 1:1) with different learning styles and abilities. Also, I work with all grade levels, K-12. My focus has always been English. The majority of my assignments have been teaching English classes at the high school and middle school but I enjoy working with the younger students as well, helping them to build a strong English foundation.

I live by the strong belief that "Everyone has the right to a sound education."

Remember back when you had a substitute teacher in your classroom. Well, some things never change!
