I'm an avid knitter, and I love teaching young people to knit! I have taught an after-school knitting club for teens, and I've taught 6-year-olds to knit, as an integral part of the Waldorf curriculum. I use these hand-knit cloths exclusively in my kitchen, as they're highly absorbent, and they have a nubby texture for scrubbing. My friends and family enjoy receiving them as gifts!
It may take young knitters a couple of hours to finish this knitting project after class.

55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Grownups may need to remind learners that pointed knitting needles, yarn needles and scissors are tools, not toys. You know your child best! Please provide supervision or instruction on the proper use of these tools, if needed.
