Class experience
Beginning our class with introductions and an affirmation to set the tone for our learning environment. We then will move onto introducing our learning objectives and key points of the lesson. Utilizing researched slides and videos to reiterate talking points and facts, this class will take a deep dive on the history behind what a monarch is and their role in a monarchy. I hold 2 degrees. One in Africana/Black Studies and one in Social Sciences. I am currently enrolled in a masters program for African Studies with a minor in Education. I also homeschool my own children and create all of their history/social studies content.
A PDF copy of slide for each lesson as well as a work sheet file will be provided for learners but is not required

This class involves exploring historical and contemporary forms of governance where a single individual, typically a monarch or king, holds significant power and authority over the state. During the course of this study, your child may encounter information about the structure, characteristics, and impacts of different types of monarchy systems. They will have the opportunity to delve into the historical context, cultural influences, and potential benefits and drawbacks associated with these systems of governance. We will be utilize the platform YouTube in viewing only as in I the instructor will play researched and age appropriate videos (max 3 videos' @ 5-8 mins each) that relate to and reiterate our learning objectives & informational slides.
