In this hour long class we will explore the world of Monarchies and identify different monarchies from around the world!

Class experience

Ability to define & identify the traits that make up a monarchy 
Ability to identify different monarchies from around the globe
Gain basic knowledge and understanding of different types of government
 
I hold 2 degrees. One in Africana/Black Studies and one in Social Sciences. I am currently enrolled in a masters program for African Studies with a minor in Education. I also homeschool my own children and create all of their history/social studies content.
A PDF copy of slide for each lesson as well as a work sheet file will be provided for learners but is not required

This class involves exploring historical and contemporary forms of governance where a single individual, typically a monarch or king, holds significant power and authority over the state. During the course of this study, your child may encounter information about the structure, characteristics, and impacts of different types of monarchy systems. They will have the opportunity to delve into the historical context, cultural influences, and potential benefits and drawbacks associated with these systems of governance. We will be utilize the platform YouTube in viewing only as in I the instructor will play researched and age appropriate videos (max 3 videos' @ 5-8 mins each) that relate to and reiterate our learning objectives & informational slides.
