Welcome aboard! Arrrr....I look forwarding to meeting you! As class begins, students will be given a pirate name, with their permission. After a brief introduction, we will sing two pirate songs, led by Captain Melanie. Next, we will make a pirate craft together. (Please see the materials list below.) Lastly, students will listen to pirate jokes and sing and dance to a few more pirate songs. At the end of class, students will have to opportunity to show classmates their completed craft, if they choose. See you soon, Me Hearties! Pirate attire is encouraged, but not required. *Invite a friend and receive $1 off this class. Send me a private message with your friend's name. (Refund will occur after class.) A "Birthday Party" option is available. Message me for details and to schedule a time. :)
Learning Goals
Students will...
Increase their social skills by introducing themselves and saying a brief hello to classmates.
Expand their hand/eye coordination and creativity by working on a craft.
Work on steady beat by clapping along to song and/or dancing to the pulse of the music.

Pirate Craft materials: Small paper bag (lunch bag size) or a blank piece of paper Black Marker 1 bright colored piece of paper Scissors Tape or glue
