Class Experience

Join Captain Dan, the *second* most infamous pirate on the Seven Seas, for a visit to the Golden Age of Piracy!
Captain Dan will tell students all about pirate ships, treasure, clothing and weapons, and the daily life of a Pirate on the open sea in a fun and engaging conversation with a living historical character. We will discuss the what separates a Pirate from a Privateer, learn sailing terminology, what it was like to live on a ship for long periods of time, the stories and songs Pirates used to pass the time, and look at some of the 17th and 18th century clothing, weapons, and tools a pirate would own and use every day.

Learners are encouraged to ask questions and interact with the goal of organically covering whatever burning curiosities are on your learners minds about Pirates and the world they lived in.
