Class Experience
A One-Time Arts & Crafts Project where learners get the chance to make an aesthetically pleasing rose bouquet with pipe-cleaners.This project is simple but elegant. It looks difficult, however, young ages can do this with ease, Who knew pipe cleaners could be so versatile? Besides the rose, I have one-time classes for other pipe-cleaner items such as teddy bears, dinosaurs, and other flowers, and will soon have turtles, unicorns, and more. This class is taught in English.
-Students will begin to learn another way to learn information by seeing color, feeling texture, and emotion. -Students will use art as an outlet for emotion, and to improve critical thinking skills, both of which we desperately need these days.
**Pipe-Cleaners- about 6 of one color per rose. They can choose any colors they wish. I am hoping for 4 or more flowers to make the bouquet. They may not be able to make that many, and that is okay. **Also green (any shade) pipe cleaners for stems and leaves (3 per rose) **A piece of ribbon, probably no bigger than 1/2 inch but can be smaller. Only need about an 8-inch piece. **scissors (parental guidance) **Hot glue is beneficial but not mandatory (if so, parental guidance)
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
**Parental Guidance is suggested. Scissors will be used to cut the pipe cleaners. **And though hot glue and gun are not mandatory, it is recommended to stabilize a couple of pieces of pipe cleaner. Parental guidance is suggested for you to be nearby during those moments of use.
