Class Experience
Pie tends to be particularly sought after during two glorious times of the year: sweet summertime and the holiday season! As the latter approaches, students will be invited to dive into the adventure of persuasive writing and convince me what the perfect slice of pie is. Class time will begin by discussing the nature of persuasive writing, that we will start with a personal opinion and shape our thoughts and prior knowledge into a convincing visualization for the reader. Please ensure your child has: -- ***A Perfect Piece of Pie mini-book printed, cut out and stapled (mini-book with directions for stapling will be accessible on the course Classroom page!) -- two sharpened pencils with erasers -- colored pencils/ crayons
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
50 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
CreativeCommons.org will be used for pie images printed and briefly shown when class begins.
