This class is a 10 week literature study which includes the study of Shakespearean language and context, the text will be read together during class and learners will have a weekly homework assignment.

Class experience

US Grade 6 - 8
To learn about Shakespeare, the writer and his works. Learners will be taught to decode and decipher as they read and this knowledge will help them in future Shakespeare reading/studies. Learners will become well versed in understanding Shakespearean language as we study the text by close reading Act by Act, line by line. Learners will learn new vocabulary and allusions to Greek mythology. Learners will engage with the text further using a homework worksheet which may include writing first-person narratives, summarizing, descriptive writing, fact files, close reading and response of extracts, writing play scripts and so much more!
I have a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and a Diploma in Teaching Literacy in Primary and Secondary Schools.
I am currently studying a Masters degree in English Literature and am a certified English Language teacher with TEFL.
Homework Offered
Learners will be provided with a homework worksheet each week which will need to be printed or copied. Homework will take 30mins-1hour to complete.
0 - 1 hours per week outside of class
Assessments Offered
Feedback can be given on request.
Grades Offered
Learners will need their own copy of the text and be able to print weekly homework worksheets.
