In these fun, one hour classes, students will read a story and determine the meaning by drawing inferences.

During these one hour classes, students will recall the 6 narrative elements of any given story. We will look at the setting, characters, plot, theme, conflict, and narrative arc of a story and be able to identify them. Each student will have a chance to speak during the classes in order to show what they know. Learners will get a chance, during each class, to interact with each other. The students may or may not have been exposed to these elements in their schooling. If they have learned these elements, this class will serve as a refresher. Hello!! My name is Dana Fuentes and I currently reside in sunny, south Florida. I’m a certified language arts teacher for grades 6-12 with over 5 years of classroom experience. I’ve held the position of department chair, lead writing club teacher and writing coach for the 8th student body. I feel that students learn differently, and exposing those differences, is what leads to a positive learning experience. I also enjoy tutoring privately.
I homeschool my children as a result of my education belief. My kids are 2,4 and 6! The younger two are boys and my eldest is my princess. Prior to Covid-19, we loved going to parks, libraries and bike trails.
