Class Experience
Learners will come away with knowledge in the following areas: -Critical Thinking and Reasoning -Knowledge of the History Of the Golden Gate Bridge, why it was built, how it was built, and interesting events surrounding it -Knowledge of the geographic region of San Francisco, California and the North Bay Area
I am originally from Canada, but am currently living very close to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, California! My husband is a 20 year boat captain in the San Francisco Bay, and has piloted hundreds of vessels underneath the Golden Gate Bridge! Not to mention, we drive over the bridge on our regular routes during our everyday living! It’s truly a marvel to behold and I can hardly wait to share all about the Golden Gate Bridge!!
A PDF attachment for our young detectives to write down CLUES and NOTES while they solve the Golden Gate Bridge mystery will be posted on the classroom page prior to class. Learners may print out this sheet in black and white. Please have a pencil on hand as well.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
No formal assessment or grade will be given, but during the class, attention will be given to how much knowledge students already know about the subject matter and teaching will be adjusted accordingly.
40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
