Hi! Cześć! Did you know that speaking another language is one of the coolest skills to have and that Polish is the second most spoken language in the UK. To help my students out I have created this kids’ guide to help them learn Polish! Learn some of the most used words and phrases including greetings, directions, animals and loads more and this is all possible to learn. I grew up in a bilingual home where Polish and English were spoken freely, I can read, speak and write fluently, and in addition I speak, read and write Spanish. So, languages are very natural to me and I can't wait to share this passion with my students. So whether you want to say good morning – dzień dobry – or ask for a tasty pastry – drożdżówka – you’ll be able to hear exactly how it should be pronounced and written. These classes are designed around a series of 24 theme based topics that are fully immersed in Polish, for example the first four meetings will be: - proper greetings - hello, goodbye, how to answer greetings politely and correctly - what is your name, introduction of each student - learning how to say your name and how to identify yourself in complete sentences - alphabet - letters and sounds of the Polish alphabet, words to represent the letter as an example - numbers - 0-20, how old are you? - where are you from - country, city - a map of Poland and the surrounding countries explained and showed in detail They will be taught in English for translation purposes and understanding but the workbook is designed in Polish. These fun classes will all be 30 minutes in length and small engaging groups of 2-5 students. I thrive on students energy and interest to interact. There is no required experience or knowledge, English will be spoken it is not a full immersion Polish class. I only ask that they bring the desire to learn something new and exciting and respect other students in the classroom.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Lisa and I am so excited to be your student's teacher. I hold a TESOL and TEFL Certificate, I have been teaching ESL for way over 10 years to both children and adults and online since 2015. I have taught thousands of classes to young Chinese students and I have tutored English. I am a patient, hands-on teacher and love demonstrating concepts for my students, if a difficult situation arises I will look for a way to make sure the student leaves understanding and satisfied.
I grew up in a bilingual home here in Canada and we spoke both Polish and English growing up and over the years added Spanish. Learning multiple languages is a great tool for world travelers, and it is a fantastic tool to stimulate your brain. I love languages and cannot wait to share this passion with you!
This class will be conducted in English, students are encouraged to speak slowly and clearly so that everyone can follow along. Because this class is based on learning a new language, students are required to have a working camera and microphone.
Along with Polish 101 classes I plan on teaching culture, travel, food, art, Spanish 101, conversational English classes and lots more... I am a fun and energetic teacher and love bringing my energy into the classroom. I think it is so important for students to enjoy the learning process. That is why I am looking forward to seeing you in my classroom!
