This one-time class is the LEGO® version of an escape room. It's an immersive story inside the Magical Kingdom that has students use creativity and LEGO® blocks to build their way out of Disney. This class is not a virtual escape room.

Class Experience

Oh no, you fell asleep from a long day exploring the Magical Kingdom and woke up to discover that you are locked inside!  It will take some creative thinking and some smart LEGO® building to get you out of the pitfalls that happen when you are locked in the Magical Kingdom at night!  It's sure to be fun for both Disney® and LEGO® fans!  

This escape room concept will have students use their LEGO® brick collection to creatively build items that could help them get out of a series of events. ...

-Practice fine motor skills with LEGO® builds.
-Practice the skills of creative thinking.
-Support classmates in positivity, and appreciate all attempts at the creative process.
-Work on listening, public speaking, and following multi-step directions.

I have over 15 years of experience teaching elementary aged students, and hold both a Ph.D. and a M.Ed in education.  I also have current licensure to teach PreK through sixth grade.  My educational background includes extensive training in teaching core academic subjects, gifted/creative logic, and all manners of pedagogical methods.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Please make sure you have noted that this is not a typical online escape room and students will be asked to build with LEGO bricks.
