In this on-going class, students will learn how to make healthy and delicious snacks with an emphasis on gluten-free snacks.
Class experience
Snack attacks can hit at any time! This class teaches students to creates snacks that are relatively easy with an emphasis on gluten-free. We will create items such as protein bites, tortillas, blender muffins, oatmeal drops, chocolate crunch, and more! I use a relaxed teaching style and model each step of the process as we cook together. Students will have opportunities to talk with fellow chefs and me as we work on our creations. Students will learn how to make easy, healthy, and delicious gluten-free snacks! Students will also become more proficient in measuring ingredients. Students will learn how to use different kitchen appliances with more proficiency.
I have celiac and have been cooking, baking, and eating gluten-free for over 20 years. I am a certified classroom teacher and have worked with all learning ages, from kindergarten to college students.

Homework will simply be to enjoy your newly created snacks!0 hours per week outside of class

I will supply a list of materials needed a week before each session.
During this class students will use the following: stove, oven, knives, hand mixer, blender, and mixer. Possible allergens include nuts, dairy, and eggs. Note: When using oats, those who are gluten-free should purchase those labeled as such.
