Students will have the opportunity to engage in activities that will help them to understand the importance of Juneteenth. Students will learn the history of Juneteenth.
I have been learning Black History since I was a youth. I've taught it, studied it, read books, watched documentaries, and most importantly, I have experienced it. The content and questions I will be covering will come from a historic point of view.
I would like to encourage each student to bring snacks, a poem, song, game, or anything that would help celebrate. This is an optional request.

We will be playing Kahoot during class. The game will cover general question about Juneteenth. I will be sharing my screen during class. However, a 2nd device is suggested for all participants so they can see the questions on their device and still hear me in the classroom. A personal account is not needed, all participants will need to enter the game code to join the game.
