Welcome to a vibrant exploration of English Language Arts (ELA), meticulously designed and led by Ms. Noel, a seasoned Montessori guide at Quantum Montessori. This class is an invitation for upper elementary and middle school students to dive into the depths of language, literature, and creative expression. I use a blend of Montessori principles with innovative educational strategies to create an inclusive, student-centered learning environment. Ms. Noël McKelvey is a veteran teacher of 20 years, and has taught students from preschoolers to adults, from public and private schools to community college. She has two degrees, her teaching licensure and is a certified National Geographic educator as well as a Certified Holocaust Educator via the USHMM in Washington DC.
She has a love for literature, the arts, and finding the creative in all she does. Whether it is teaching Gothic Literature dressed as a Victorian storyteller, or reading aloud with outrageous accents, her students have always enjoyed her classes and are challenged not only academically, but creatively as well.
Currently, Noël lives the beaches North Carolina where you can usually find her at a coffee shop, nature journaling or spending time with her two daughters and their husbands. She loves creating art, gardening, reading and inspiring students to soar.
