A Hocus Pocus Halloween Party!
What's included
1 live meeting
40 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
This is a chance for kids to participate in the Halloween festivities in a safe, non-spooky environment. Nothing too scary or inappropriate for their eyes or ears. Ms. Amanda will come dressed up in a Halloween costume, and each student will be given some individual time to show off their Halloween costumes to the class. The kids will participate in a scavenger hunt where they'll be sent to look for an object in their house. They'll be divided into teams, and they will go around individually in their own house to hunt for an item. The first team to have 2 kids come back with the object wins that round. We'll keep playing to ensure everyone has a chance to "win". We'll also sing and dance to some fun Halloween songs, and listen to the story, "Room on the Broom". We may also sing and dance to the Halloween Freeze Dance if there's time.
Learning Goals
This class will strengthen social/emotional development, reading comprehension skills, coordination and large motor development. It will increase creativity and imagination and allow for self-expression. Children will strengthen their communication skills and learn to be part of a team. Joyful shared reading experiences are the foundation for all future learning, and singing together improves and enhances language development and school readiness.
