Have you always wanted to see the world and learn its history? Would you like to learn firsthand knowledge through the experiences of a world traveler? If so, look no further! My teen son and I visited 13 countries in one year! Join me as I share with you my personal experiences as a world traveler and teach you historical facts about Egypt. Via a PowerPoint presentation, I will share with you and explore pictures of our exciting adventures, funny mishaps, food relishes, and more, all while you learn location histories and play trivial games. You will also have the opportunity to write a short essay about a place in the world that you would like to visit, draw a picture, and share it in class. I will share knowledge of one of my favorite locations, why I loved it, interesting facts, and history about the location. Pictures will include real life encounters with locals of the country. They will also include historical monuments and features that are only seen in books and magazines. You will have the opportunity to ask questions about the locale and get an understanding from the perspective of my teen traveler. Although he will not be in class, I will share with you his personal adventures and sentiments about worldwide travel. During this class, you will also have the opportunity to test your knowledge. We will have trivia games to see if you have retained what you have learned during the class, as well as see what you may already know. Have fun seeing who will be able to guess the answer first in class. To add to the fun, you will have the opportunity to share a brief, one paragraph essay, about the country that you'd like to visit and why. If time permits, you will also get a chance to share a picture of whatever you feel is important to you about your chosen country and have the opportunity to answer a question or two about the country. Please prepare your 5 sentence essay prior to coming to class. You will present it at the end of class. See you soon!
