Experience new Greek Mythological adventures as a hero/heroine trying to fulfill a prophecy that will make them a God/Goddess.
Class experience
Students will participate in a role-playing game that allows them to experience various parts of Greek Mythology as a hero/heroine. Each hero will visit the Oracle of Delphi and given an individual quest they must accomplish. If they are successful, they are each given the chance to fulfill their destiny of becoming a God/Goddess reigning in Mount Olympus. Class #1: Students will fully create their hero/heroine character on the character sheet and seek counsel from their patrons. ...
The goal of our lesson is to experience some of the adventures that happen in Greek Mythology. If the student has knowledge of Greek Mythology, their hero/heroine will make wise decisions in the different encounters. If the student has not read Greek Mythology, they will encounter new monsters, gods/goddesses, and places. Every student will receive all the information they need to make the best decision for their hero/heroine.
4 files available upon enrollment1 20-sided dice or 3 6-sided dice. 1 hand-out titled "Heroes in Training Character Sheet 1". 1 hand-out titled "Heroes in Training Character Sheet 2". 1 hand-out titled "Mythology Simulation Dice". 1 hand-out titled "Creature Collector Sheet".
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Mythology often has a lot of violence and death due to their stories centered around war, heroes vs. monsters, impossible quests, and jealous gods/goddesses.
