Intermediate Level
In this five-week self paced class, learners will be reading the book "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." This is a self paced class so there are no live classes. Learners will read the book when it is convenient for them. The learners will engage the class by answering questions that I post in the classroom. There will also be a 10-question worksheet for them to complete. The worksheet I created using Canva, but the learner does not need an account to access it. I will post it in the classroom. They will be able to download it and print it out. During the week there will also be fun would you rather questions posted in the classroom. The questions will be themed around the weekly reading assignments. This is a fun way for the learners to check in with the reading progress. If a learner has any questions about the reading or doesn't understand something, they can post the question in the classroom or message me directly. There will also be a fun Blooket game each week. Blooket.com is a free site. The Blooket game code will only be available for your learner. The learner can sign up for a free Blooket account to participate or play as a guest. You can sign up for a free account at: https://www.blooket.com/ . The Blooket trivia questions will come from the week's chapter reading. After reading the book learners are encouraged to watch the movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" then post in the classroom what the differences are in the book verses the movie. During the self paced class, we will be using the platform Blooket. Blooket is a fun game that ask learners trivia questions and the learners earn coins to spend on upgrading their character.
