How do you speak up when you’re afraid of hurting your friend’s feelings ? What do you do after a really big fight ? What if your friend leaves you for the popular crowd ? In this course, you will find tips and strategies that can help solve your most common friendship troubles . This is a highly interactive class. The class atmosphere will be relaxed and engaging. My intention is for students to feel at ease, comfortable and willing to participate in an open discussion, but it’s not mandatory. What students will learn: First Session : ALL ABOUT FRIENDS AND FRIENDSHIP HOT SPOTS - What makes a great friend - We are best friends. Right ? - Feeling left out - Jealousy - Working it out - There are some things that friends just don’t do to friends. These are biggies. They are not O.K and never will be. - Say something. Speak up ! - Talking tips - Giving or receiving an apology Second Session : BETRAYAL & BULLIES - The on-again, off-again friend - The loose lipped friend - The backstabber - Are you in a toxic friendship ? Time to go ? - Feeling good about yourself - Quick and not so quick fixes - Friends forever ? - Big important point : Your happiness matters ! Students do not need any previous knowledge on the topic to enroll in this class.

For the last ten years I have tutored children, teens, and adults. In addition, I have offered life skills workshops for teens that resulted in tremendous success. Some of the most popular workshops I have taught are in the area of self-confidence, anxiety, bullying, and social skills. I’m also a certified Teen Coach and Happiness Coach. In addition I have also volunteered in non profit organizations that provide after school enrichment programs for elementary and young teens.
