What's included
Assessment
Each learner is assessed verbally or through writing via the classroom page.Class Experience
This class is about using your own creativity and dance abilities to choreograph a dance at any level. Each week the lesson will start with a shared video on the classroom page. The video will be a piece of choreography that emphasizes a key element of movement. For example, musicality, texture, use of the stage, etc. Students will be asked to first discuss their thoughts on the video via the classroom page. After, it is time for the students to get to work, focusing on the elements from the lesson. Students will be asked to select music, and start using their creativity to begin making up a dance. Halfway through the week, students will be asked to share their progress via the classroom page for both fellow students and myself to give feedback. At the end of the week, we will share our finished products. Each student will give positive and sometimes helpful feedback to help create better pieces each week!
Learning Goals
Students will explore their own creativity and gain confidence to create dance choreography.
