A Drawing Club for Poets How to Draw Using Easy Drawing Techniques

Do you like to read poetry? Do you like to draw? Well then this is the art club for you. Welcome to our ongoing seasonal drawing club for poetry lovers and artists alike. Each week we will begin with a poem, discuss a literary tool that the poet used and then we will make art based off of what was read.  This is a student driven social club that rotates annually  and is a wonderful way to get students interested in writing by using an artistic twist. 

The first half of class will begin with an ice breaker and a poem. Next, we will focus on one literary aspect the poem uses and study it's meaning. Then, we will play a game to give us an opportunity to demonstrate our understanding and then we will close the class with art time and games. 

This class is made up of a mixture of reading, analyzing and creating. The topics we will cover will vary based on what month the class takes place.  For the following month we will be studying the topics listed below.
